What is MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa?
All payments made through MasterCard or Visa on this website are done so through the MasterCard
Securecode and Verified
by Visa security programs. These programs have been implemented to provide credit card holders with more security when purchasing online. When an item is purchased through a traditional store using a credit card the merchant requires a signature on the receipt of the purchase to verify that the credit card being used is in fact the property of the credit card holder. With electronic businesses, this becomes difficult as it is sometimes hard to receive a signed receipt upon purchase.
When a purchase is made online through a website that has initiated MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa, the credit card holder is required to enter their personal code that they have registered with their bank. This personal code acts in the same way a PIN does with an ATM card or HandyCard; it verifies that the credit card holder owns the card and is in fact making the purchase legitimately.
This means added security for you, the credit card holder, as no-one can use your credit card online fraudulently as they do not have the personal code, and it also means the merchant can identify that the order is a verified order and so requires less reference checking. At Wireless 1, orders that are submitted through the MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa programs are processed much faster as there is less need for detailed reference checking.

- Photocopy of Drivers Licence
- Photocopy of Credit Card front and back
OR
- Photocopy of latest bill showing billing address
- Photocopy Credit Card front and back
- Photocopy of photo identification (if no drivers licence available)
