Size
Size is generally the first thing to consider when you buy a Toshiba notebook. They range from as small as 13 inch (33cm), all the way up to 18 inch (45.7cm). This is the measurement of one corner of the screen to the diagonally opposite corner of the screen.
There are pros and cons to both larger and smaller screen sizes. Firstly, smaller sizes are great as they provide more portability. Generally, they are lighter and physically smaller. However, they do not usually have num-pads until at least 15 inch (the medium).
Larger screens are fantastic for movies and games especially, and it means you can fit more onto the screen – making most tasks more pleasant. However, larger sizes are generally heavier and physically larger. This does decrease portability, but depending on your use, it may not be an issue. Some larger screens are even able to provide full 1080P HD – the ultimate for movies.

There are a range of processors available, the most common (and best) being the Intel i series. The Intel i3 is the most cost effective series, providing enough performance for general tasks. The Intel i5 series is a step above in performance, allowing for gaming and more intensive tasks such as editing. It also features an automatic turbo mode, which automatically adjusts the speed of the processor to match the task. This essentially regulates power and heat.
The class-leading processors are the Intel i7 series; these processors are quad-core and can take on any task thrown at them. They also feature the automatic turbo mode.
