Size

The physical size is a very important element of any netbook. Originally, the Asus EEEPC range came out in only 7 inch, which soon grew to 9 inch. Now, they come in two sizes: 10.1 inch (25.7cm) and 12.1 inch (30.7cm). This measurement refers to the size of the screen, from one corner to the diagonally opposite corner.

Having a larger screen can be a benefit as you can essentially fit more onto the screen, allowing images and movies, for example, to be displayed at a larger size. However, one thing to remember is that with a larger size comes more weight, as well as a larger physical size. The 10.1 inch screen is large enough to not require side scrolling on websites, and only looks small when placed next to a larger screen. This is the most common size chosen, as it gives an adequate screen size whilst keeping weight and physical size down.

There are a variety of features and specifications featured in the Asus EEEPC range. Primarily, battery life is the most important aspect. Some models have a few hours, whilst other models can achieve over ten hours of battery life! This is usually gained by the size and power of the battery, but the Intel Atom processor used by the Asus EEEPC range is highly efficient and requires very little power to run.
