Nokia N79 - Best features and functions equipped bar style compact phone with easy to press buttons.

When you first look at the N79 you first think it is just a copy of the previous model N78.

The candy bar design with a secondary camera sitting at top right corner of the phone and with a screen size remaining the same (2.4 inches with resolution of 320x240). Below the screen there are 2 shortcut buttons, an answer and a hang up button, with a 5 way navigation button in the middle, there is a good sized number pad underneath. The phones size is a comfortable 110 x 49 x 15mm, which feels good when holding in your hand.

The N79 has the features you expect from N-Series phones with GPS (A-GPS), Speakerphone, FM radio with stereo speakers, auto focus 5MP camera with LED flash, VGA quality secondary camera, video recording at VGA quality (resolution?) with 30 frames per second, expandable memory card slot up to 8GB, WiFi 802.11b/g, stereo Bluetooth support, HSDPA date transfer speeds, media player supports WMV/RV/MP4/3GP/MP3/WMA/WAV/RA/AAC/M4A, etc.....

A new feature in N79 is an "Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate" (like the iPhone has), which will rotate the display 90 degrees to widescreen mode when you hold the phone sideways for easier viewing on some applications.

The best improvements I found with the N97 is the number pad layout which has been changed from tiny buttons to a larger keypad meaning it is no longer a nightmare for text messaging! And the N97 also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, so music lovers can plug their good quality headphone into for better music experience.

In the box with the N97 come the following accessories:

a 4GB microSD which should be fine for most uses unless you want to store a lot of songs or video.
a Polar Bluetooth WearLink Belt which allows you to track your heart rate, the distance you walk etc... But I found that it is bulky to wear unless you really want to use this.

I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants an easy to use and operate phone with its comfortable keypad, loads of features which will not disappoint you whenever you need and expect in a mobile phone.
