There are many different ways to extend your Wi-Fi range such as with a traditional range extender, a Wi-Fi access point, powerline/wireless powerline adapters, mesh systems, a Wi-Fi bridge, or by simply upgrading your router. Whichever solution suits you best, here at Wireless 1 we aim to bring the best networking products from the biggest and most popular brands to our store for our customers.

Extend throughout your house

A range extender allows you to extend your Wi-Fi range without having to physical connect anything to your router. A wireless range extender allows you to sync the range extender to your existing router to extend its Wi-Fi range. It creates a new access point so that you can connect to if your original Wi-Fi signal doesn’t reach to that area or has a weak signal. This option is great for extended your Wi-Fi range inside your home or business

Powerline adapters

A powerline adapter allows you to transmit your internet connection from 1 room to another (or multiple rooms) by using the electrical circuit in your wall. Powerline adapters come in a kit of 2 units, one unit is placed on an AC plug near your modem/router with an Ethernet cable running from, it to the modem/router. From there, you can take the 2nd unit and place it on an AC plug in another room (on the same electrical circuit) and you may then run an Ethernet cable to either a TV, computer, access point or anything else that accepts Ethernet to establish an internet connection. However, wireless powerline adapters also give you an option of an access point, so instead of running and Ethernet cable on the 2nd unit, the wireless versions will provide you with a Wi-Fi access point from there so you can connect any device via Wi-Fi to it. It’s like having a direct modem/router in that room without having your NBN/phone line in there. More information about powerline adapters can be found here.

Building-to-building solutions

Need to share an internet connection for business or personal use? No problem. Wireless 1 has many solutions that allow you to transmit a signal from one building to another. A wireless bridge allows you to do this and Wireless 1 have a big range of these units from many brands. More information about CPE units and wireless bridges can be found here.
