Getting Started

Initially, your Ubiquiti access point should be linked to the network with an Ethernet wire.

Then, connect the access point to an electrical power supply. The device will begin to power on, and the LEDs should flash briefly.

Connecting to this access point with your computer or smartphone is possible once it finishes powering on. Therefore, you have to get your SSID and password for this access point, which could either be available on the gadget itself or within its respective documentation.

Configuration

Use your computer or a mobile device to connect to the wireless network of an access point. When connected, open any web browser and enter the access point’s IP address (it is also mentioned in the documents).

You will be requested to provide your username and login details by default.

Upon keying in your credential, you log into the access points management interface.

You can set up the access point’s settings from here for various purposes. You can support several SSIDs, create a guest network, and use online administration, among other capabilities.

Access the “Wireless Networks” sector under the management panel, then press the “Add New” button to establish several SSIDs. After that, you will be prompted to provide a name for the generated network and select appropriate protection measures before configuring any additional settings.

Go to “Guest Control” under “Management Interface” and configure guest access. This option allows you to create a guest network and configure a captain portal that guests will have to log into.

Follow the instructions on the management interface in the “Cloud Access” section to set up your account and configure your access point to the cloud.
