Samsung Galaxy Watch4
Samsung Watch4 is set to be released this month in Australia on the 9th of September. Featuring two main variations, the Watch4 and the Watch4 Classic, and a never-before-released hybrid operating system of Google's WearOS and Samsung’s Tizen operating system. You have the option to purchase the Watch4 with LTE allowing you to leave your phone at home and have internet access anywhere with 4G coverage from your eSIM.
The Samsung galaxy watch4's are running a hybrid operating system, a fusion between Samsung's Tizen OS and Google's Wear OS, essentially combining the strengths of both operating systems. From those who have been fortunate to test and review the watch4, the response has been a positive one to this new Google/Samsung operating system. Expect better performance and battery life from the Tizen aspect, while having a larger range of access to apps on google's play store. Google's voice assistant is set to be released on the watch4 at a later point.
Let’s talk about the design differences, Samsung’s Watch4 has a sleek sporty look while the Watch4 Classic has a traditional style with a rotatable bezel for navigating the WearOS Tizen hybrid. The Watch 4 Classic has two size options, 46mm or 42mm, while the sporty Watch4 has 44mm and 40mm options. On the watch4 you have the ability to replace the band with a variety via shopping online while having 4 watch color options black, gold, silver, and green.
The Watch 4 features Samsung’s own Exynos W920 chipset with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage to run all your apps. The stats you’ll get include a body fat percentage score, skeletal muscle, fat mass, body water, and BMI. It’ll also give you a rough idea of the healthy range for your sex, weight, and height.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has a range of fitness and health features, including inbuilt GPS for tracking runs, an optical heart rate sensor, and ECG support. The new 3-in-1 BioActive enables the watch to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and body composition.
