Image Quality

From our brief time using the AOC AG273QXP, we were quite impressed with the overall image quality. With it's 27 inch, 1440p display, this monitor allowed games to look sharp and detailed while playing at the maximum resolution and graphics settings. Whilst the blacks weren't as dark as some VA monitors, we were more than satisfied with non-gaming content - watching movies, videos, and general-purpose use.

The AG273QXP uses 'Nano-IPS' technology derived from LG that claims to deliver more vibrant, lifelike colours by incorporating a layer of nano-particles within the display. This, alongside DisplayHDR 400 support helps enable more enjoyable and immersive experiences especially when viewing HDR content. Additionally, these new and improved 'Nano-IPS' panels are believed to be designed with much faster response times than your typical IPS, which we'll talk about in the next section.

Gaming Performance

As part of AOC's AGON range, the AG273QXP is designed with gaming in mind. It's fast 170Hz refresh rate and claimed 1ms (grey to grey) response times translated to smooth and fluid visuals when gaming.

Connectivity

The AG273QXP comes with solid connectivity options. There are 2 x HDMI 2.0 ports and 2 x DisplayPort 1.4 ports for video, with an additional 2 x USB-A 3.2 ports and 1 x 3.5mm headphone out jack.

Adjustable Stand

The AG273QXP does very well with adjustability, and comes with a fully adjustable stand. Adjustments include pivot, swivel, tilt and height adjustment. Additionally there is support for VESA 75mm x 75mm wall mounting.

RGB Lighting

A feature seen in many high-end gaming monitors, the AG273QXP features a circular RGB light ring at the back, which adds a bit of ambient lighting on the wall.

The AOC273QXP is an impressive gaming monitor, that offers a great deal of features for the price. It offers a fast Nano-IPS panel, 170Hz refresh rate and 1ms for an incredibly smooth gaming performance, yet still remains a decent monitor for media consumption and productivity. Some other standout features include a highly adjustable stand, RGB rear lighting, and a removable screen hood.
